25,000 people die each day from hunger or hunger-related
causes, most of them
children. Think you can’t help stop it? With a few
clicks of your mouse, you can donate rice to the United
Nations World Food Program from the comfort of your desk. FreeRice.com uses the fun of a multiple-choice word game by rewarding
correct answers with the donation of rice grains. Choose
from categories such as Famous Paintings, English Grammar
or Basic Math. Although the site warns that the game may
make you smarter, they fail to mention how addictive it can
be!
